The Seine Estuary nature reserve is located near Le Havre and Honfleur in Normandy.

The Seine Estuary nature reserve, located in Normandy near Le Havre, is an emblematic biodiversity conservation site. Created in 1997, it covers more than 8,000 hectares, encompassing a variety of landscapes including marshes, mudflats and wet meadows. This mix of habitats makes it an area of international importance for birdlife, attracting many species of migratory birds, including some rare and threatened species.

Guided tours to discover the flora and fauna are organised by the Maison de l'Estuaire during the summer. This is the best option, otherwise the visit to the reserve is very uninteresting.

The path is blocked by these ‘magnificent’ observation posts that obstruct the passage. You'll have to make do with looking at the reserve through ruts.
