The resort of Les Orres

A short walk of 30 minutes to discover the resort of Les Orres in the Hautes-Alpes

This walk connects the resort of Les Orres 1650 (the center of the resort) to the resort of Les Orres1800 (Bois Méan) by a pleasant pedestrian path. There is nothing really difficult, the road is always tarred. We return by the same way. If you wish it you can continue to walk by borrowing the numerous paths of hikes which leave the station.

The entrance to the resort of Les Orres 1650 — The resort of Les Orres 1650 is the older of the two resorts, construction began in the 1970s. Its remarkable architecture has received the label "Heritage of the XXth century" in 2007.

Mountain biking in Les Orres 1650 — The resort of Les Orres puts a lot of emphasis on mountain biking in summer. There are dedicated routes for mountain bikers from the Pic Vert and Prelongis chairlifts. Fortunately most of the time mountain bikers and hikers do not share the same paths.

Le bike park — Mountain bikers will find everything they need to wash and maintain their bikes at the foot of the Prélongis chairlift right next to the resort center. The bike park of Les Orres is composed of 13 downhill tracks with different levels of difficulty.

The center of Orres 1800 — The resort of Les Orres 1800 is smaller than the one of Les Orres 1650, it is also much more recent because the construction of the resort started in 2006. Here too you can find a few restaurants around a central square.

The main street — There is only one street in the resort of Les Orres 1800 and there are very few shops. The resort of Les Orres is the starting point for many beautiful hikes in the mountains.
