Visit of the castle of Ecouen

The visit of the château d'Ecouen can be done quite quickly, you really have to be a fan of the Renaissance period to find an interest in the collections presented. The rooms are filled with a jumble of different objects, their only common point being that they were conceived during the Renaissance. There are the usual cards to present the rooms, they are very long to read. They describe the history of the different rooms of the castle but in fact the original furniture does not exist anymore so you have to have a lot of imagination to reconstitute the room. A visit to be reserved for specialists of the Renaissance. Fortunately the entrance fee is not very expensive (5 euros) and the visit of the castle of Ecouen is free on the first Sunday of the month.
