If the shape of the covered market reminds you of something, it's normal because the building was used as a model for the design of the CNIT in La Défense. Very beautiful market, to see.

One can see many vestiges of the German occupation during the second war because Royan was an important passage which controlled the entry in the estuary of the Gironde. The city was only liberated in April 1945!

Planet exotica is indicated on all the maps of the city as "The gardens of the world" but once arrived we realize that this park has changed its name. Huge parking lot almost empty, very expensive entrance, nothing interesting, go quickly.
