A visit to the park and the castle of Chantilly located 30 minutes from Paris.
The Château de Chantilly is a 30-40 minute drive from Paris. The tour presented here focuses on the park and the château. You can also visit the Grandes Ecuries, as Chantilly is renowned for its equestrian activities. In fact, there is a racecourse right next door where major horse races are held, such as the Prix de Diane in June.
Visiting the Château de Chantilly is rather expensive. It costs €18 for a full tour, including the château, grounds and stables. If you just want to stroll around the grounds, it will cost you €9, which may seem a bit steep for this activity alone.
The castle and grounds are well worth a visit, so don't hesitate despite the high prices.
The car park is located right next to the château and is subject to a charge (€5 per day). It's easy to get to the château by public transport from Paris, and it's a 30-minute walk from the station.
