Biscarosse

A short walk to discover the charming town of Biscarosse.

Biscarosse is a beautiful city located in the Landes along the Atlantic coast. This town is the biggest in surface of the Landes, it is also divided in 3 zones: Biscarrosse-Bourg, Biscarrosse-Plage and Biscarrosse-Lac, there are more than 7 km between the beach and the lake, you can't really go from the beach to the lake by foot, the bike is a good way to go. In this walk we used the car to go from the lake to the beach. The presence of the lakes and the ocean brings a real plus to this town.

The lake of Biscarosse

You must not mistake the lakes because there are 3 of them next to each other. Here we are in Biscarosse-Lac on the banks of the lake of Cazaux. The parking lots are located right next to the lake, they are free. In summer there are of course many people.

The shores of the lake

There are many small beaches for swimming. It is quite funny, the slope of the lake is very low, you will have to walk a long way before you find enough water to swim.

Along the lake of Biscarosse

Not all the beaches are supervised, there are indeed several kilometers of shoreline. The water is warmer than in the ocean.

Biscarosse-plage

After having visited Biscarosse-lac, we go to Biscarosse-plage (by car). Biscarosse-plage is the typical seaside city at the edge of the ocean with its main street and its shops.

Nothing to complain about, the city is very clean and well laid out with nice green spaces.

You can go around Biscarosse-Plage in a few minutes. No need to move around a lot, all the shops are grouped together.

There is a large shopping street with all the beach accessories stores, restaurants and bars.
