Biville is a commune of the Manche in Normandy located at 20 km from Cherbourg. It has an important dune massif which is worth the trip. The dunes extend on more than 2 km. Be careful, it's a great site !

The Saint-Pierre de Biville church

You can park your car right next to the beautiful Saint-Pierre church in Biville. Inside are the relics of Thomas Hélye (author of many miracles), the church has long been a place of pilgrimage.

The start of the walk

The departure is just beside the church. The sign indicates "Calvaire des dunes".

Magnificent panorama

After a few minutes of walking we arrive at the level of the calvary. In the background we see the new nuclear power station of Flamanville.

The dunes

The landscape is beautiful. The Biville dunes offer a serene and soothing atmosphere, perfect for a contemplative walk or simply to recharge while listening to the sound of the waves.

The path in the dunes

Usually it is forbidden to walk in the dunes but it does not seem to be the case here although the site is protected. This is probably due to the very low number of visitors.

There is a parking right next to the beach but even in the middle of August you won't be disturbed too much. There are not many people except for some surfers.
