A pleasant walk around the ponds of Holland in the forest of Rambouillet at 1 hour from Paris.

There are several ways to go to the ponds of Holland, you can pass for example by Perray-en-Yvelines then follow the arrows indicating the ponds of Holland. The ponds of Holland are a series of ponds located next to each other. It is easy to go around them by passing on a forest path, one can easily modulate the length of the stroll. A particularity: the presence of a leisure base and a beach for swimming. The facilities are still of a very family level, it is not the great luxury but it remains very pleasant for a Sunday afternoon at the water's edge in full summer. There are several parking lots next to the ponds, it is easy to park your car. In the vicinity you can find tables and benches for picnics.

The leisure center

The leisure centre includes a mini-golf course, a beach and a restaurant. There is an entrance fee. The photo shows that the beach cannot be accessed without paying because of the palisades.

The beach

The beach attracts crowds in the summer months between late June and September. Unfortunately, there are many problems due to pollution. In 2023, swimming was banned on 32 of the 54 days the leisure park was open to the public.

The mini-golf

The leisure centre is not large. Activities are mainly concentrated in July and August, which is reflected in the quality of the facilities. In 2024, the municipality plans to hand over management of the site to a private company.
