Hiking around Fécamp

A hike around Fécamp to discover the town and the surrounding cliffs.

An easy hike around Fécamp lasting 2-3 hours, the only drawback is that it runs along the cliffs and that it is normally forbidden to walk along the cliffs because of landslides. The sign indicates that "the municipality is not responsible in case of accident". At low tide, you can still stay away from the cliffs and enjoy the magnificent spectacle they offer. Otherwise the rest of the hike is not difficult, it goes up a bit but the path is easy and tarred. The return to Fécamp is well indicated. You can also continue to Yport or even further at the crossroads.

Along the cliffs — Well, the problem is simple, the hike goes along the cliff to reach the beach of Grainval and it is normally forbidden to walk at the foot of the cliffs because of the rockslides.

Rockfall — It is clear that from time to time parts of the cliffs collapse. At low tide you can stay away from the cliffs.

Pebble beach — Magnificent pebble beach with this so characteristic noise of the pebbles which clash the ones the others. In the distance we see Fécamp that we have just left.

Exit from the beach of Grainval — We can leave the beach by this path a little steep but well maintained. We continue straight to take again the path of hike.

Grainval Beach — It is not the most beautiful beach but it is embedded between two cliffs which gives it a lot of charm. Considering the difficulty to reach the beach it is not very frequented.

Crossover — After the ascent of the beach, we arrive at a crossroads where signs indicate the directions, just follow the direction Fécamp.

Back to Fécamp — The return is rather fast, it is done while going along the road.
