Hiking in Normandy between Yport and Fécamp

A beautiful hike in the land of cliffs in Normandy between Yport and Fécamp.

A beautiful hike between Yport and Fécamp, the only problem is that we stay quite far from the sea during the whole trip. All the hike takes place on a tarred road. We can nevertheless join the sea in the middle of the course by making a small detour. Yport and Fécamp are worth a look.

We could join Fécamp directly by the beach at low tide but it is forbidden to go along the cliffs because of the risks of collapse. We can see on the picture a piece of the cliff which collapsed.

The beach of Yport

Yport is not the most touristic resort of the Normandy coast. It is a pleasant little town, as in Etretat there is no port, the fishermen had to haul their boats on the beach with a capstan. You can see the remains on the beach.
