A short but sportive visit to discover the cliffs of Etretat up close.
Etretat is a pretty little town located on the Alabaster coast in Normandy. It is a picturesque place wedged between two huge cliffs. There is no port and the local fishermen had to hoist their boats on the beach. The purpose of this short walk is to get as close as possible to the cliffs. It is best to check the tide times tides as at low tide the cliffs are more accessible. It is also better to have shoes because it is difficult to walk on the rocks and seaweed. This walk is short, we don't go far from Etretat but it is quite sportive because the descents and the ascents are rough. It should be noted that several paths that used to allow access to the bottom of the cliffs are forbidden because they are too dangerous and too difficult to maintain.
This little walk is really worth it, the cliffs are magnificent. Do not hesitate to discover Etretat.
