The lake of Sainte Marguerite

The hike starts at the Pra Paisset parking lot. The direction is well indicated by signs. You can't go wrong.

All the way up is on the forest road, the path is sometimes steep but the slope is regular.

After the rather difficult ascent, we arrive towards magnificent mountain pastures. Be careful, the lake is still quite far.

We have a very beautiful view on all the summits of the surroundings. The last coast before the arrival to the lake is rather steep.

The lake is a very nice mountain lake. Very nice view on the surrounding peaks.

The water is crystal clear and the lake is shallow. We can see the bottom of the lake.

To go back to the resort of Les Orres 1800, you can come back by the same way but you can also come back by another more beautiful way on a small mountain path. You have to go back on your steps and then at the first signpost there is an intersection, the path is not indicated by a sign, there are blue circles on the ground.

We cross the torrent by a nice wooden bridge very rustic

You will have to cross small mountain streams.

The return is much more beautiful than the first one, we walk often in the shade of the forest and the sight is sometimes seizing by cons the descent is longer. The path is well maintained.
