A gourmet and spiritual walk in the rue du Bac in Paris

A short walk to combine earthly and Heavenly foods

You can start the walk rue du Bac with a visit to the Notre-dame-de-la-medaille-miraculeuse Chapel. On July 27, 1830, a young nun, Catherine Labourée, saw the Holy Virgin. She asked her to strike a medal with her face on it. A few years later some miracles happened. Today the Chapel is frequented by more than two million visitors from around the world. It is one of the ten most popular places in Paris.

Rue du Bac is also famous for its delicatessen and cake shops (Capon, Angelina) and for the "Bon marché", a famous big store like Harrods in London.
