You can start your walk on rue du Bac in Paris by visiting the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. On July 27, 1830, a young nun, Catherine Labouré, saw the Virgin appear to her. She showed her two paintings and asked her to strike a medal based on the paintings. A few years later the miracles with this medal will multiply. Nowadays, the chapel is visited by more than two million people from all over the world. It is one of the ten most visited places in the capital.
The rue du Bac is also the street where the "Bon Marché" is located, a must-see during a visit to Paris. The "Bon Marché" is certainly the most beautiful of the Parisian department stores. A little further you can also find many famous food shops (Chapon, Angelina... )
