The selection is of course subjective, some very beautiful parks like the Bois de Vincennes are missing but we decided to choose the most beautiful and original parks. The entrance to all the parks is free. Count about 2 hours of walk for each park. Have a nice walk.

A park built on an old quarry, the architect of the park wanted to recreate an alpine park in the middle of the city. The plus : the reconstitution of the alpine environment is magnificent, everything is fake but we could almost believe we are in the middle of the mountains, there is a lake, a waterfall, a temple... The minuses: the surrounding area is not very lively. Score : 9/10

The Cité Universitaire with its pavilions representing different countries of the world is the result of the pacifist movement of the interwar period which wanted to bring different cultures closer together. The advantages: a magnificent architecture with pavilions in the style of each country. Score : 8/10

The Montsouris park is also worth a visit : it is located just in front of the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris.

The pluses: a beautiful park with vineyards and a vegetable garden, the activity and the animation around the Saint-Emilion court with its restaurants and its shops, the very beautiful view on the Seine and the National Library of France. Minus: the quality of the restaurants, the affluence the days of good weather. Score: 8/10

The planted promenade is a former railroad track converted into an urban park. The pluses: the impression to be above the city and to cross the buildings. Minus: the very big crowds on nice days. Score : 7/10

The park of the Auteuil racecourse is located in the middle of the racecourse. The plus : a very original place, you can cross the track to go to the different parts of the park, the park is recent and well arranged, you can practice several sports activities : running, basketball... The minuses: the difficulty to find the entrance, the racecourse is huge and there are only two entrances, the access is also forbidden the days of race. Score : 7/10
