Discovery of the city of Douarnenez

The city of Douarnenez is located in Finistère in Brittany.

The proposed walk follows more or less a discovery trail of the city of Douarnenez created by the tourist office. This route is called "Le chemin de la sardine", there are markers all over the city center with a map and explanations detailing the history of sardine fishing in Douarnenez - Information on the route. If the landscape along the ocean is very beautiful, it is not the same for some buildings of the city center which deserve a small renovation. Enjoy your visit!

There are two beaches located right next to each other. In the distance you can see Tristan Island which is accessible on foot when the tide is low. Guided tours are organized by the tourist office.
