The Belleville district

The Belleville district is located in Paris off the tourist trail. A change of scenery guaranteed!

To find the start of the walk, it is not difficult, just get out at the Belleville metro station. Then you discover a district where lives a strong Chinese community, the restaurants and the Chinese supermarkets are very numerous, you really have the impression to be in a district of a Chinese city. By comparison, the 13th district which is sometimes called "Chinatown" doesn't really give this impression. Moreover, the district is also trendy with its restaurants, industrial deco trend and its graffiti in the streets. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is not the right district but if you are looking to see another side of Paris you have to come to Belleville.
