A nice little town in the country.

This old town built at 610m above the Charolais mountains was a powerful barony in the Middle Ages. See the unique panorama from the belvedere. On a clear day you can see the Mont Blanc and Puy de Dôme chains.

The starting point is located at Place du Chateau. Take the rue de la chapelle.

Take the rue de la chapelle which passes in front of the old gendarmerie. Continue on the rue de Mary to go to the Romanesque church.

Built on a granite belvedere between 1080 and 1120, the church of Mont-Saint-Vincent is heavy and massive and has no bell tower.
