Visit of Paris: The planted promenade-greenway Paris 12

The planted walk or green corridor crosses the entire 12th arrondissement of Paris (4.5 km). It follows the route of a former railway line.

The planted promenade, designed by Philippe Mathieux and Jacques Vergely, occupies the site of the railway line that linked the Place de la Bastille to Varenne-Saint-Maur. The first part of it takes the viaduct of the arts in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. The result of a successful alliance between wild vegetation, which invaded the area around the railway line, and more modern landscaping, the 6.5-hectare walkway allows you to cover the entire length of the 12th arrondissement of Paris, away from all automobile traffic. A change of scenery guaranteed, you will discover this district of Paris in a different way.

The first part of the walk takes the Viaduc des Arts to the Jardin de Reuilly. The walk resumes after the Vivaldi alley and ends at the Charles PĆ©guy square. This represents about 4.5 kms. The opening hours are from 8:30 am to 9:30 pm in the summer.
