A magnificent trip to discover the largest canyon in Europe: the Gorges du Verdon

The landscapes of the Gorges du Verdon are among the most beautiful in France, you have to take your time to discover all the beauty of the gorges because the access and the visit are not so easy. You can choose the option all car with "La route des crêtes" which will make you discover magnificent points of view on the Gorges of Verdon. You can also choose the option of walking down to the Verdon river which flows down the gorges. Count on at least one hour of walking for the descent. Finally, don't expect to enjoy swimming too much, there are no real beaches (you have to go further).

From the lake Sainte-Croix, the road rises quickly and you reach the first viewpoint with a view on the gorges (very difficult to find a place for your car in summer).

The Route des Crêtes

The Route des Crêtes is a small circuit to be done by car along the Gorges du Verdon. It is the easiest way to visit the Gorges du Verdon.
