The beach of Trémouilles in the bay of Chanteloube

A very beautiful wild beach of the Serre-Ponçon lake in the Hautes-Alpes

The beach of Trémouilles which is located in the bay of Chanteloube is not the most known of the beaches around the lake of Serre-Ponçon but it is certainly one of the most beautiful. The place has to be deserved because it is not very easy to access and there are some very bad speed bumps on the road (they do not comply with the standards). There are many parking lots but it is better to arrive early to have a place near the beach (go to the end of the road). The place is very beautiful but the facilities leave a little to be desired.

The banks of the Serre-Ponçon lake

We are not on the beaches of the Atlantic with beaches of several kilometers, here the banks are often very abrupt and there are few places to swim.

A small beach

The place is very wild, of course there is no sand and the small stones hurt the feet.
3

The trail

From the beach a small path goes along the lake, the view is magnificent.

The beach of Combettes of Savines-le-Lac

If you are looking for a more civilized beach, closer to the city with shade, supervised in summer, easy access for children and which does not hurt your feet you should go to the beach of Savines-le-Lac, be careful there are two but the most beautiful is the one next to the port (the Combettes) in addition there are many free parking lots right next door.
