The Ile de la Jatte is an island on the Seine not far from the district of La Défense
Ile de la Jatte was often represented by impressionist painters in the years 1850-1950, it was then a place of relaxation for Parisians who came to dance in the guinguettes and enjoy the softness of the banks of the Seine. Today, the Ile de la Jatte is mostly a rather posh residential area with a small public park. The walk on the island remains pleasant but it does not have the charm of yesteryear. You can still walk along the Seine. If you are in the area, do not hesitate to visit the Ile de la Jatte.
