Le Pic des Mémises

A magnificent hike with a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva

The hike to the Pic des Mémises (1674 meters) starts at the Col de Creusaz (1160 meters) in the commune of Bernex not far from Lake Geneva. There is a large parking lot reserved for hikers right next to the restaurant l'Alpage. The path is very well indicated, there is no possibility of making a mistake. The great interest of this hike is the passage of a ladder, it adds a little spice to a classic hike. It is necessary to follow the signs which indicate "ladder". This hike is a loop, we don't go back down by the ladder. The hike is very beautiful, the landscapes are to cut the breath.

At the top of the ladder

As soon as you pass the ladder the path becomes much easier again. The climb remains steep.

La bifurcation

At some point you will come to a crossroads. You can continue to the Pic des Mémises (25 minutes) or go down to the Col de Creusaz. It would be a pity to stop so close to the goal, the slope is quite steep but the way is easy until the Pic des Mémises.
