A nice walk to discover the town of Chevreuse and its castle located in the park of the Chevreuse valley, 1 hour from the center of Paris.
The city of Chevreuse is located in the heart of the regional park of the Chevreuse valley. It can be the starting point of many hikes in the park. The most famous is undoubtedly "le chemin Jean Racine" which will lead you to the Abbey of Port-Royal. For this walk we just stay in the town of Chevreuse and go up to the Madeleine castle. To visit Chevreuse it is better to come by car because the RER stops a few kilometers away in Saint Rémy-lès-Chevreuse. The walk is not extraordinary but it is easy and pleasant. Ideal to change the ideas on a Sunday. The view from the Madeleine castle is worth a look.
