The arrival at the top of the cliff

The cliff of the black cows owes its name to the rocks which fall from the cliff. These are then covered with seaweed during the tides and in the distance they look like black cows. The return to Houlgate is done by the same way.

The shopping street

Houlgate is a smaller seaside resort than its neighbours Cabourg, Dives-sur-Mer and Deauville, with just one main street.
