The Devil's Bridge Gorge

The Gorges du Pont du Diable in the Alps

A magnificent visit of the Gorges du Pont du Diable in Haute-Savoie

The name is frightening : The Gorges du Pont du Diable (The Gorges of the Devil's Bridge in English), it's sounds like the title of a horror movie. Access to the Georges of the Devil's Bridge is easy, there is parking right in front of the entrance. The ticket for the visit is expensive (10.5 euros per person) but it's worth the price, the place is really beautiful, the water of the river has carved beautiful gorges. On the other hand the visit is not recommended if you are sensitive to vertigo, the stairs are quite steep. The visit is short, you only travel 200 meters in the gorges. The tour is completed in 30 minutes. The Gorges du Pont du Diable are not open in winter (closed from 15 October). You can also take the opportunity to visit the dam on the Dranse and the Lac du Jotty a little further away. The walk on the dam is free of charge.
